Kids Crafts

Kids crafts are a lot of fun but due to the overwhelming options to choose from where do you even begin! Here you’ll find simple crafts that require only a few items, some you might already have on hand.

The first craft that I want to share with you is the glue sponge. You might’ve already seen it, but I think it’s the best idea ever. This will save you from the dreadful glue cleanup after craft time.

Glue sponge

glue sponge

You will need

Glue bottle
kitchen sponge
plastic container w/ lid

Pour half of the glue in the plastic container.

Place a kitchen sponge on the glue.

Add the remaining glue.

Cover with a lid and let it sit overnight. The sponge will soak up the glue.

Then just press anything on the sponge to grab the glue and voilà, no mess.

Fun with Flubber

You will need

3/4 cup cold water
1 cup glue (about 8oz)
food coloring of your choice
1/2 cup hot water
1/2 teaspoon borax
2 bowls

In a bowl mix cold water, glue, and food coloring. Stir this mixture until it is thoroughly mixed together, set aside.

In a separate bowl mix 2 tablespoons of Borax with a 1/2 cup of water. Mix thoroughly until all of the Borax is dissolved.

Add glue mixture to borax mixture and mix, it should form a blob.

Store in sealed container or zip lock bag to prevent from drying.
